The intermission is over. The Phoenix is reopening on Thursday the 14th of May with four screenings daily.

The show kicks off with films for the buffs: North by Northwest, Casablanca, Rear Window, Singing in the Rain, Breakfast at Tiffanies, the Godfather and ET. If you haven’t seen these classics, here is your chance. For those who have, it’s another opportunity to see great cinema.

The contemporary releases start on the weekend with ‘The Drama’ and ‘The Deb’.

Kristoffer Borgli’s The Drama is a surreal psychological thriller starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson. The story follows a couple whose relationship takes a nightmarish turn when unexpected revelations surface just before their wedding. It explores Borgli’s signature themes of social anxiety and fractured identity through a dark, satirical lens.

Rebel Wilson’s directorial debut, The Deb, is a vibrant Australian musical comedy. It follows Maeve, a cynical city teen exiled to a dusty country town. She reluctantly teams up with her cousin Taylah to navigate the local debutante ball, leading to a journey of self-acceptance, friendship, and Outback charm.
