The next in the 2025 Christ Church Concert series features the hauntingly beautiful music of John Dowland, one of the English Renaissance’s most expressive composers. O Sweet Woods, a concert inspired by Dowland’s deeply emotional works, promises a captivating afternoon of song and lute, performed by some of Australia’s finest early music artists.

The much-anticipated Christ Church Concerts return in 2025 for their fourth year, offering an eclectic selection of chamber music performances in support of the historic Christ Church Daylesford.

This December Newstead Live will present a special event featuring two acclaimed Tibetan performers, Tenzin Choegyal (Australia) and Tenzin Kunsang (Japan). They come together to present Whispering Sky, an evening of music and dance that transcends cultural boundaries and conjures up images of Tibet’s high plains and mountain peaks.

The final concert in the 2024 Christ Church Concert Series featuring the Daylesford Community Brass Band will be held on Saturday 30 November at 2.30pm at Christ Church. The concert features features two premiere performances: “Incantations” by Musical Director Dr. Mark Lyall, and the newly commissioned “For There is Nothing Lost” by Dr. Jodie Blackshaw.

The Christ Church Concert series will welcome back the Hepburn Players for another concert on Saturday, October 26 at Christ Church, Daylesford. With eleven string players plus harpsichord, their “Splendours of the Baroque” concert promises to be a grand experience for our concert-goers.
