Daylesford’s ambulance team has been named Team of the Year 2025 at the Ambulance Victoria Grampians Region Recognition Awards, held last Wednesday night at the Mercure Hotel in Ballarat.
The award acknowledges the branch’s 20 paramedics for their outstanding response times, strong community engagement, and their work under often challenging circumstances in support of Daylesford and surrounding towns.
Local first responder Glen Webster was also honoured on the night, receiving the Outstanding First Responder Award for 2025. The award recognised his service across both Ambulance Victoria and the CFA.
The annual awards ceremony for the Grampians Region also welcomed eight new graduate paramedics, recognised long service award recipients from 10 to 40 years, and presented regional excellence awards. Both the Outstanding First Responder and Team of the Year awards are peer-nominated, chosen by paramedics across the region.
“To work across these two great organisations is a privilege,” said Glen Webster. “Ambulance Victoria and CFA personnel are the best people you will ever meet. The way the two services work together in Daylesford is outstanding. Two uniforms, one team.”
