Hepburn Wind is inviting people to the Coalition for Community Energy’s Webinar: “2021 The Year for Community Energy”.

Hepburn Wind General Manager Taryn Lane, will be joined by a number of other great presenters! Taryn Lane was the 2016 Churchhill Fellow and investigated zero-carbon communities across Europe.

Countries across the world have pledged to meet net-zero emissions by 2050 and community energy will play a key role in meeting this target. There has been a lot of focus on how corporations and states can cut emissions and grow renewables, but often community action is left out of the picture.

In Australia, several initiatives are demonstrating the central role communities can play in transitioning to renewable energy and decarbonising our lives. The challenge that we face now is building that capacity across the country for a just and timely transition that meets community needs and aspirations.

To address the challenges, the Coalition for Community Energy (C4CE) will be hosting this national advocacy webinar, taking a deep dive into the policy and campaigns fighting for community energy.

Hosted by Donna Luckman, Director of C4CE and with presentations from MP Helen Hains on the Local Power Plan, Taryn Lane of Hepburn Wind, Kristy Walters of the Community Power Agency and Andrew Bray from RE Alliance, the event will be packed with great info and useful actions.
