The Band is organising a cabaret style concert of Movie Themes at the Daylesford Town Hall on Sunday May 17th at 2 pm.
Featuring a variety of classic movie themes from several decades, a fabulous opera singer and even tap dancers! It’s a bring your own food and drink affair, and our audience are encouraged to book a table with friends and dress up as your favourite film characters.
Even themed food if you like! It’s our major fundraiser, so there will be raffles and auctions with fantastic prizes, many donated by generous local businesses. As usual there will be prizes for best dressed, best table, perhaps even best food.

The music will range from Singing in the Rain to Transformers Prime and is sure to entertain and get toes tapping.
Brass banding in Daylesford has a long history, with the first band being formed in 1862. Since then there have been many iterations of the band, the most recent being the formation of the current band (originally known as the Daylesford Municipal Brass Band) in 1962. Now known as the Daylesford Community Brass Band, we have been proudly providing entertainment and musical education around the Daylesford area since.
Current members range in age from early twenties to their eighties. Banding frequently becomes a life-long passion, and several members have been with us for more than 50 years. We are very much a family band, with partners, children and parents joining to share the joy of music making.
With our 160 year history in this community the band is much loved and a feature at all key public events from street parades to annual war commemoration services, Christmas, Town Hall themed events and much more. This relationship with the public drives the band’s commitment to performing and honours its long commitment to our community.”
