The Musk Fire Brigade and the Bullarto Hall Committee present the family friendly Bullarto Bush Dance once again for 2026! Since 1943, The Musk Bush Fire Brigade has protected our small but growing community nestled on the Great Dividing Range near Daylesford and Hepburn Springs.
The Bush Dance will be held at the Bullarto Hall on Saturday 9th of May from 5.30pm. There will be delicious food available, a licensed bar, door prize and a generous raffle of the area’s finest produce. Campfires outside will keep everyone warm (if you’re not dancing!).
Local MC Bruce Rolfe will be our dance caller to get everyone in the dancing mood and music performances by fantastic local bands, Barbed Wire Canoe and the Wombat Ramblers (including Cat & Clint!) Blackwood locals Cat & Clint, honour the music of North America’s old time and bluegrass, alongside Australia’s vintage country and folk music, to create a sound that is both old and new, with traditional tunes and original works. Their dreamy vocal harmonies shine through on soulful songs that share stories of human experience through the ages. Cat’s fiddle powered dance tunes, stately waltzes and mournful instrumentals, are anchored by Clint’s driving guitar and 5-string banjo.

The Musk Brigade
All proceeds go to the Musk CFA to raise funds for the purchase of a Brigade owned Light Tanker. With fire risks driven by climate change, denser populations, and increased tourism, the single tanker is no longer enough. The Brigade is seeking the community’s help to purchase another tanker to expand our capabilities and protect what matters most – our homes, our forests, our businesses, and the people who make this region special.
