Little Gallery in Trentham is one of the premier art spaces in the Central Victorian Highlands, dedicated to presenting new and emerging artists alongside permanent mid‑career and established creatives. A core part of the Little Gallery’s ethos is supporting local talent by providing a platform for exhibition and celebrating the rich diversity of artists within our Shire and Ranges.
The introduction of the gallery’s Featured Artist program highlights two artists every two months. We are delighted to announce that our featured artist for March and April is Rosa Fedele, .
Rosa’s works are whimsical and playful celebration of vintage cars, darling dogs and romantic beauties from the silver screen, Rosa’s art will take you on a heartwarming and joyous ride in your favourite classic convertible, silk scarf billowing in the breeze and faithful hound by your side.
Currently exhibiting is Cheryl Burgess, which her works reflect the natural world. The designs are applied to porcelain vessels using food colouring and defined using a fine electric drill, the surface is smoothed with a scalpel and sandpaper before and after bisque and final firing. I am drawn to porcelain because of its ability to interact with light and shadow. Its strength and fragility make porcelain a challenge to work with, but the results bring ceramic rewards.
