Houses “for sale”  increased slightly  to 181 houses (from 178 in Dec)  in the Daylesford and surrounding areas (postcodes 3460 and 3461) with 104 for sale  in Daylesford.

Over the past two years the Victorian regional housing market has shown a strong recovery with a growth of six percent over 2025 as supply tightened and demand increased. Median house prices have risen to approximately $650,000.

Daylesford median house prices remain significantly higher than the regional average, but in contrast to regional trends, Daylesford median prices have remained flat at about $820,000. Local agents indicate that although there is reasonable demand for properties  upto $1 mill, sellers above this value may be in for a long wait or need to reassess the expectations.

17% of houses (31) offered in the area are listed at prices under $700K. There were also 11 properties listed between $450K and $600K, which opens opportunities for new entrants into the market
