Hepburn Shire Council has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the state government to fund the development of a masterplan for Victoria Park in Daylesford.
Mary-Anne Thomas announced funding as one of several grants awarded in her Macedon electorate which have been delivered through the first round of the $20 million Tiny Towns Fund. The Fund supports projects in small regional and outer metropolitan towns with fewer than 5000 residents.
The first round of funding includes more than 200 projects including local hall upgrades, sports club renovations and funding for community and non-profit groups. Councils are eligible for grants of up to $50,000 to get these community-driven projects off the ground.
Under the program, Council will also receive $37,500 for the installation of an accessible equestrian mounting ramp, landing area and path at the Glenlyon Recreation Reserve.
Lyonville Hall Community Asset Committee will receive $50,000 for upgrades to the Lyonville Hall to improve accessibility and increase use.
