On June 23, Comedy Republic will return the the Palais-Hepburn. The independent theatre company has quickly become a hub of Melbourne’s comedy scene, presenting some of Australia’s best comedic talent. The June show at the Palais will feature four of their top stand-up comedians.
Daniel Connell, Lizzy Hoo, Bronwyn Kuss and Bron Lewis will be performing, all hot off the back of successful runs at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Daniel Connell is one of Melbourne’s most loveable, hilarious, and hard-working comedians. His trademark dry, laidback humour has entertained audiences nationally for the past twelve years. Connell has four Comedy Festival gala appearances under his belt.
Lizzy Hoo is a rapidly rising star who has recently been seen on Have You been Paying Attention?, The Hundred with Andy Lee, Celebrity Letters & Numbers, and The Cook Up with Adam Liaw. Her infectious excitable energy has lit up the stage on the past three consecutive Comedy Festival galas.
2022 Director’s Choice Award winner Bronwyn Kuss will also take the stage with her wry anecdotes.
And to top it off, 2023 Best Newcomer Award nominee and 2022 RAW Comedy co-winner Bron Lewis will delivering her best. As well as spending her days writing for The Project, her new show, Probably, was directed by comedy royalty, Claire Hooper.
After presenting their first show in the region back in February, Comedy Republic is excited to be bringing another cast of hilarious comedians to the Palais-Hepburn. Bookend your evening with a delicious meal before the show and a world-class cocktail to conclude a splendid night.
