Hepburn and Daylesford A Grade netball sides are off to a good start in season 2023.

After a winless 2022 season, Hepburn opened their account with a 49 to 29 win over Ballan last Saturday.

And Daylesford turned the tables on Gordon winning 55 to 29 after losing badly last year. Daylesford player coach Carly Luke has clearly had an impact in building the side.

And Hepburn will meet Daylesford in the Netball Derby this Saturday at Victoria Park. The game gets underway at 3:00 pm.

In footy, Hepburn had a big win over Ballan 18.10-118 to 4.9-33. Jason Carrick kicked four goals for Hepburn, Mitch Banner added 3 and Mitch Mckay, Jackson Hogan and Sean Tighe added two each.

Daylesford went down to Gordon 19.20-134 to 9.7-61. Mitchell Steen and Tyson Dellanno kicked two goals each for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs and the Burras will play off for the Bill Malone Cup at Victoria Park, Daylesford, on Saturday. Game time is 2:30. Watch the first quarter and then go across to the netball courts to watch the ladies showdown.
