Video of the Week – Daylesford Community Brass Band

The Daylesford Community Brass Band has done it again with a lovely music video of ‘Over the Rainbow’. 

The tune is most remembered for Judy Garland’s performance of the song Wizard of Oz in 1939. In the film, “somewhere over the rainbow” is the place of dreams Dorothy goes to where where she doesn’t have have any troubles.  

There have been many versions of ‘Over the Rainbow’. The Band’s isolation version in a time of COVID reminds us of another place and another time and of the hopes and dreams to come. For many people that is, of course, Daylesford!
