Riding for the Disabled Daylesford has received a grant of $2,453 to purchase new uniforms for volunteers and to build a new mounting block. The funding from the Community Bank Daylesford District is part of more than $100,000 in grants and sponsorships that the Bank provided to Community groups and organisations in 2020-2021.
RDA Daylesford advised that the new jackets arrived in June just in time for the cold, wet weather. They were well appreciated and helped lift spirits after COVID lockdown number 4 when riding sessions were again put on hold.
The grant has added to the sense of being valued, being part of the community and having something positive happening locally again.
Melanie Tudball Branch Manager at the Bank said: “The Community Bank Daylesford District was pleased to support RDA Daylesford again with funding for the new jackets and the new mounting block. This group is run by a great team of volunteers and the joy on the riders faces when they see the horses is very evident.”
“Our Community bank is owned by local shareholders who are committed to providing significant funding to local groups and organisations. For each of the past three financial years we have provided in excess of $100,000 in grants and sponsorships. The more successful our Community Bank can be the greater the community funding we can provide. For all of your banking needs or to discuss sponsorship opportunities please call the branch on 5348 4186 or pop in at 97 Vincent Street Daylesford.”
