Daylesford Rotary Art Show Artist Profile – Brian Nash

Artist Brian Nash is celebrating 27 years of living and painting in Daylesford.

Brian has been painting professionally for more than fifty years and has staged over fifty one-man exhibitions during that time. He has received many awards and has works which have gone to several overseas countries around the world.

Brian has supported many local community causes over the years including donating paintings for the annual Daylesford Rotary Art Show’s raffle. This year’s Art Show opens on Thursday, 29 October and runs over the Melbourne Cup Day long-weekend. Raffle tickets are being sold in the Daylesford shopping centre and will also be on sale at the Art Show. All proceeds from the raffle and profits from the Art Show are used by Daylesford Rotary to support Community needs and projects mostly around Daylesford and Hepburn Springs.

Brian has also created a book The Golden Shire which includes some 170 works of art covering twenty-four towns and locations throughout Hepburn Shire. The book provides information about the history and special features of each locality. This has involved a journey of twenty years of research and painting to create this special book. It is available through Paradise Book Shop or from Brian.

Entries to this year’s Daylesford Art Show close 4 October.
