The excitement is building: the 151st Daylesford Agricultural Show is just around the corner, and preparations at Victoria Park are already humming with energy.
Inside the pavilions, vibrant displays of flowers, art, cookery, and more are being carefully arranged by local exhibitors. From delicate floral arrangements to homemade preserves and stunning paintings, the showgrounds are becoming a true celebration of our community’s creativity. Meanwhile, the carnival crew are busy installing rides and side-show attractions, promising fun for kids (and the young at heart) come show day.
Outside, livestock pens are being readied. Horses are preparting for equestrian events. Dogs, and sheep and puoltry will be arriving early on Saturday morning for judging and demonstrations, a highlight for many. It’s a chance to see rural life up close in all its charm.

There’s also a full program of entertainment: the Daylesford Show includes a petting zoo, magic workshops, roving performers, and live local music.
For Daylesford Agricultural Society President, John Nicholls, this is his first show in the role. “This is more than just an agricultural show – it’s a heartwarming, community-driven celebration rooted in tradition,” he said. “It’s the perfect way to spend a spring Saturday with family, friends, and neighbours. Please join us for the 151st Daylesford Show!”
