The U3A program of courses and activities kick off for 2022 this week. They include a range of activities including bridge, scrabble, crosswords, singing, book club, poetry, writing, discussions of current affairs, gentle exercises and stretching, bush walking, table tennis, dancing, flower arranging, bread making, playing music, French, Italian, German, pétanque, and living well in older age.

The University of the Third Age is a volunteer run network that encourage people to learn together for pleasure. It aims to provide opportunities to its members to learn, teach, share and give support to each other in a friendly and warm environment regardless of ethnicity, religion, ability or disability.

Classes  and activities are held in local venues including the Senior Citizen’s Room behind the Town Hall, Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre, halls, cafes and private homes. Most are held during the day with easy access to venues.

You have to be a member to participate. This year membership is $40. Anyone interested can find details of courses and membership on the U3A website.
