Make, Create and Play: Hands-On Workshops This November
Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre is inviting locals to get creative this November with two unique hands-on workshops — one exploring expressive puppet-making for theatre and film, and the other celebrating sustainable fashion through patchwork sewing.
Make Puppets with Tony – Expressive Faces for Theatre & Film

Bring your characters to life in this fun and imaginative four-week workshop series with artist Tony. Held over four Saturday mornings in November, participants will design and sculpt their own expressive puppet faces — ideal for stop motion, theatre, music videos, short films or creative reels or just for the kids to play with.
Learn professional techniques for shaping, detailing and finishing faces that capture emotion and personality.
No experience is needed — just imagination and a sense of play!
Date: Saturdays from 1 November 2025
Time: 11am
Cost: $100 per person for four weeks. All materials included.
Sew Your Own Patchwork Skirt – 4-Week Workshop with Jackie

Join local maker Jackie to create a one-of-a-kind, tiered patchwork skirt in this engaging, sustainable sewing workshop. Across four Thursday sessions, participants will design, cut and sew their own skirt using upcycled or leftover fabrics, learning essential techniques along the way.
This workshop celebrates slow fashion and resourceful making, turning fabric scraps and preloved textiles into something wearable, beautiful and uniquely yours. Bring your own favourite fabrics, or swap and share with others. Sewing machines will be available for shared use, participants are encouraged and welcome to bring their own.
Date: Thursdays from 6 November 2025
Time: 11am
Cost: $85 per person for four weeks. Materials list provided on enrolment.
Both workshops are hosted at Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre, offering a welcoming, creative space to learn, connect and make something truly special.
AND DON’T FORGET… Free Juggling for All Ages with Sebastian
Add some movement and play to your week with this fun, free series of all-ages juggling classes led by local performer Sebastian.
Across four Thursday afternoons in November, participants will explore the art of juggling through games, challenges and laughter — improving coordination, focus and confidence in a relaxed, supportive setting. Beginners are especially welcome, and equipment is provided.
Date: Thursdays in November
Time: 4pm
Cost: Free – all welcome
