14Certificate III Course in Individual Support
Are you the type of person who always wanted to work in a ‘caring’ industry?
Expressions of interest are now being called for this Learn Local Course at DNC – the Certificate III Course in Individual Support. It’s fee-free for eligible learners.
This qualification offers training in Ageing and Home & Community Support and reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or for some other reason. Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for your own outputs. Workers will learn a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.
As we hear in the media, these skills are in high demand, and now is the time to upskill and secure yourself one of many local jobs now available.

Homeless Shower & Laundry Facility
On Monday 20th March, we are holding an official opening of the new DNC “Homeless Shower & Laundry” facility. This project has been in the planning stages for most of 2022. It has been developed in an effort to provide our homeless people with a shower and a safe place to do their laundry. We are happy to announce that the project has finally been completed and we thank our sponsors Hepburn Shire Council and the Community Bank Daylesford District for their financial support in bringing this project to fruition. We will be publicising this facility more widely in coming weeks and will be working with local community groups to see that the information is shared to the people who need to know about it.
