Final Drafts of Township Structure Plans Respond to Community Concerns
Council will consider final drafts of the Township Structure Plans and Rural Hepburn Strategy at a Special Council Meeting on Tuesday 3 September. The Structure Plans have been revised to take into consideration considerable community concerns about a buffer zone around the transfer station and rezoning of farming land along East Street.

Community Grant Recipients Celebrated
A celebration was hosted in Trentham for grant recipients of three community grant programs. A total of $80,111 has been distributed to groups across the Shire for Biodiversity Grants, Sustainable Hepburn Grants and Environment Group Grants.
Minister Opens Daylesford Hospital Theatre Upgrade
The Minister for Health Infrastructure and Member for Macedon Mary-Anne Thomas inspected the refurbished operating theatre at Daylesford Hospital earlier this week. The upgrade will help to get many people off surgical waiting lists sooner and receive treatment closer to home.

DNC has recently joined the Container Deposit Scheme as a “Donation Partner”. This means that anyone who would like to donate their small refund to a local organisation can simply select Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre as the recipient.
Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan Adopted
Hepburn Shire Council adopted its Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) at its Council meeting on Tuesday evening. Innovate RAP adheres to Reconciliation Australia’s guidelines for a four-step overall plan, which will be implemented over the next two years.

Contract Awarded for Victoria Park Lighting
Council has awarded a contract to redevelop the AFL oval lighting and netball court lighting at Victoria Park to competition standards.
