Early learning centres in Daylesford will benefit from the state government’s Building Blocks grants designed to to upgrade and improve early learning spaces.
IT Equipment grants were awarded to Daylesford Preschool in Central Springs Road and Daylesford Community Child Care Centre in west Street. The IT grants are for for equipment such as iPads, laptops, computational thinking aids, LDC IT experiences, projectors and cameras.
Daylesford Community Childcare Centre also received $1750 for shade sail replacements.
Minister for Children Lizzie Blandthorn announced the recipients of the latest round of Building Blocks grants. “These Building Blocks grants ensure hundreds of kindergartens have the facilities and equipment they need to give Victorian children a great start in life,” she said.
Since 2020, the Building Blocks has invested more than $200 million to plan and build new and improved early childhood services across the state.
“Every child deserves a safe and inviting learning environment,” said local member, Mary-Anne Thomas. “That’s why the Government continues to invest in local kindergartens.”
