On 10 April 2026, Bullarto Hall will host the Festival of Small Halls. This year’s festival includes Australian performer Tullara, and all the way from Canada, Joe H Henry.
Tullara’s live show is a main-stage act, commanding the stage with effortless swagger and connecting to the audience with heart-wrenching honesty. From her guitar playing wizardry to her enticing, raw and powerful vocals, Tullara’s music exhibits a wide range of style, musical dynamism, captivating stage presence and depth of emotion.
Métis singer-songwriter Joe H Henry possesses a voice described as “as powerful as a freight train,” a potent instrument that delivers his blend of early rhythm and blues, soul, and alt-country, enriched by folk-inspired lyrical depth.
Drawing from a life encompassing experiences from a homeless train-hopping youth to a homesteading father of five, Henry’s songwriting is thoughtful and his storytelling captivating, forging a strong connection with diverse audiences. This depth of experience resonates in every line he sings.
Local performer Ameliah Melville from Trentham will also be performing. Ameliahbegan playing music at a young age, studying piano and clarinet before finding her instrument – the bass guitar. Influenced by the music of The Beatles and The Jackson Five, she was a founding member of The Trentham Trio, performing a series of successful gigs of original instrumental rock and groove music. Following the breakup of the band, she organised and performed at an outdoor benefit concert for the Torch Foundation, playing the music of Archie Roach, Goanna, and The Beatles.
The Bullarto Hall committee will be running a BBQ (with vegetarian options) and a bar from 5:30pm, and the concert will start at 5pm. This is a terrific opportunity for locals to see local and international talent, and to support community events at our hall.
