Learn Basketball Skills from Coach Tegan at Four-Week Clinics

Do your children want to improve their basketball skills and have fun at the same time?  If so, they don’t want to miss the opportunity to join Coach Tegan’s four-week basketball clinics starting on Wednesday 21st February, 2024.

Basketball is a great sport that teaches not only physical skills, but also social skills, teamwork, problem-solving, discipline and work ethic, and helps build confidence while having fun on the court.

Coach Tegan is experienced in teaching the fundamentals of the game to children of all ages and skill levels.  She will help them master the basics of shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding, defence and footwork through simple and effective drills and games.

The clinics are open to children aged 10 and under (between 4-5pm), and 11 and over (between 5-6pm). They will run every Wednesday at the ARC, 39 Smith Street Daylesford for the next four weeks.

To keep it accessible for every child, the cost is only $2 gold coin donation paid at the door.

You can register on the day by simply rocking up.  For inquiries call DNC on 53483569

We are grateful to The Daylesford Foundation for sponsoring this exciting initiative for the youth of Hepburn Shire.

DNC Joke of the Week

Be careful about drunk driving as we are getting close to Chill Out and other exciting events.  Police are out there checking on people.

Last night I was out for a few drinks. One thing led to another and I had a few too many beers and then went onto the wine.  Not a good idea.

Knowing I was over the limit, I decided to leave my car at the bar and took a bus home.  Sure enough, I passed a police checkpoint where they were pulling over drivers and performing breathalyser tests.

Because I was in a bus they just waved it past. I arrived home safely and without incident, which was a real surprise as I’ve never driven a bus before and I am not even sure where I got it from.

[If you’ve got a better joke, send it to admin@dncentre.org.au and we’ll publish it. (Remember, this is a family publication! ?).  We’ll even include your name if you wish – or you can protect your anonymity!]
