A number of rate payers have recently received rate notices with printing errors in the latest round of rate notices for Hepburn Shire.
A number of shire rate payers are eligible for the Victorian Government Pensioner Rebate. Unfortunately, this item was not included in the detailed breakdown of their rate notice.
However, the Council has indicated that although the pensioner rebate was not listed, the overall balance on the notices was correct.
Council says new rate notices will be issued to ratepayers affected by the error.
A second printing error occurred with some ratepayers receiving a ‘community update’ flyer which included a centre panel specifying how rates and charges were invested by Council. However, no information on the investments was listed.
