Spring is near and each year our neighbourhood Maggies are doing their prep. This time though the chosen material is uncooperative and unsuited to the intended nest’s structural needs. The piece of plastic webbing was tried in many ways to be shaped around and over, and even under. It was accidentally dropped and swooped upon, caught and returned to the proposed nest site, and when she was running out of patience it was deliberately released, then caught, and brought back for a different approach.
