A King Parrot visiting Daylesford in winter. These larger parrots are typically seen along the east coast right down to Port Campbell. They tend to live in wetter forests and have a loud, high-pitched, metallic screech. We tend to see them visiting in winter and they are very attractive and inquisitive. Victor Szwed

It quickly became clear, this was a Words in Winter, Around the Town event. The fellows from Radical Fields were running the show, asking passersby to scribble what they found Curious in today’s world, check them out. – Julie Higgs
