Nikki Marshall
Fanciful Flutes comprises some of Melbourne‘s most talented young flute players.
The group was founded in January 2023 by Eliza Shephard, ABC Young Performer of 2022.
The group will present Feathers and Flight, delving into the close connection between the flute and birds. Works performed will include arrangements of orchestral favourites such as Saint-Saens The Swan and Volière from the Carnival of the Animals and Tchaikovsky‘s Danse des Petits Cygnes as well as works originally written for flute ensembles including Bozza‘s Jour d‘Été à la Montagne and Beeftink‘s Birds.
