The Daylesford Town Hall hosted 150 people on Saturday 23rd September to honour and celebrate Carol White (Lavandula), Tina Banitska (the Convent Gallery) and Alla Wolf-Tasker AM (Lakehouse) for their past 40 years service to grow Daylesford & District into a special and unique destination.

These three local legends were awarded Paul Harris Fellow recognition from Rotary International by District 9800 Governor Ron Payne via the Daylesford Rotary Club. The award recognise outstanding contributions to Rotary.

The three legends talked about their journeys, early experiences and what inspired them to envisage their dreams against all odds.

This community event was organised by the Rotary Club of Daylesford in conjunction with their anniversary to celebrate 70 years of Rotary service within the local community. During this period over 100 organisations and projects, have raised $1.5million towards community initiatives, as well as many overseas humanitarian aid groups.

We thank Carol , Tina and Alla for their attendance and the audience certainly appreciated learning more about the early years of Lavandula, the Convent Gallery and the Lakehouse. Their talks allowed people in the audience to greater appreciate the struggles associated with establishing these iconic buildings and businesses.

The Rotary Club appreciates the generous support of Hepburn Shire and signage donated by Belle Real Estate. The Club also thanks the many volunteers who greatly assisted in bring this event to fruition and all those who attended.
