The Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre is now the proud owner of video conferencing equipment! This means classes, meetings and other events will be able to run as face to face groups blended with online participation.
Blending online and face to face activity will be particularly important for people who are concerned about catching COVID but who want to be able to participate in events with others. It also means people who have more difficulty attending face to face meetings will have the opportunity to participate online.
The DNC sees this as a big step forward into the digital world and working toward a new “COVID-normal”.
The equipment, which is currently being utilised by one of the DNC tutors, allows participants to take part in classes from any remote location. The equipment open doors for people outside our Shire who might want to take part in our regular classes.
Business will be able to use the video facilities for conferencing, interviews, tele-health clients and business meetings. Other uses could include holding webinars and community events where people can participate online.
The DNC acknowledges the invaluable assistance provided by Hepburn Shire Council in providing this equipment. The equipment will be available for community use (at no extra charge), with any room hire booking.
