The Variety Brats Bash is a long‑running, family‑focused fundraising event that brings communities together to raise vital funds for children who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with disability.
The 2026 event launched in Daylesford on Tuesday 7 April with a live Variety Victoria grant presentation supporting Daylesford Riding for the Disabled, a local organisation that has been helping children and families in the region for more than 30 years.
Variety Victoria is proud to support this volunteer‑run program with a grant for a 14‑hands pony, enabling children with disability aged 8–12 years to safely participate and benefit from therapeutic horse riding. The centre provides skill development and social inclusion opportunities where mainstream sports are often inaccessible.
Across eight days, participating families engage with regional communities like Daylesford, contributing to local tourism while demonstrating how community fundraising delivers meaningful outcomes for kids.
For 19 years, the Variety Brats Bash has been driven by one simple idea: kids helping kids. Funds raised provide practical equipment, services and opportunities that help children live without limits. Brats Bash makes the impact of fundraising visible and tangible for entrant families, while strengthening and supporting the regional communities they visit on the road.
