Tool Donation Boosts Local Groups Across the Region
Thanks to an extraordinary donation from Bunnings, Trojan Tools and The Block, the Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre has been gifted a huge supply of high-quality tools – and we’ve had the joy of sharing the bounty with community groups and organisations across the region.
The delivery included a wide range of essential tools such as spanners, saws, hammers, levels, gardening gear, safety gloves and so much more. The collection was far more than we could use alone, so in the true spirit of community, we made sure these tools found homes where they’d make a difference.
Among the recipients were:
- Daylesford Secondary College
- Creswick Neighbourhood Centre
- Repair Café (Daylesford)
- Rea-lands Volunteer Group
- Bullarto Primary School, and of course,
- Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre
These tools are now helping students learn hands-on skills, volunteers maintain community spaces, repairers keep items out of landfill and local groups continue to serve their communities with confidence and capability.
“We were incredibly well kitted out and had plenty to share. This donation has empowered so many people and projects,” said Ethen Morrison from the Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre. “The donation not only equipped our Centre, but also fostered a ripple effect of giving, sharing and empowerment across our wider community.”
With massive thanks to Bunnings, Trojan Tools and The Block for making it all possible.

DNC Joke of the Week
The Bad Salad Of William Archibald Spooner
Why do I always watch my birds?
I know that statement sounds absurd
but today I reached an all-lime toe
when I received a blushing crow.
It’s wetting gorse – and here’s the crunch
my conversation packs a lunch.
I’m not sure when all this began
but I think I need a plaster man
to help me when my stouth gets muck.
I should sit, perhaps and bead a rook,
fight a liar, or flick some powers.
No, I think I’ll go and shake a tower.
Brian Bilston
