On Sunday October 29th, Yandoit Cultural will host an event as part of the Swiss Italian Festa. This special event will bring together descendants from some of the original Swiss Italian settlers of Yandoit and surrounds, to share memories, tell stories and play music they brought to Australia. A number of the original families have remained in the neighbourhood for generations and on Sunday you’ll hear from members of the Gervasoni, Sartori, Righetti and Vanzetta clans. They’ll also reflect on what it has meant to grow up in this community with Swiss-Italian heritage.
