The Keep Daylesford Beautiful group is still waiting to hear the decision of the Planning Panel and the planning Minister Richard Wynne about the 17 Smith Street Development.
Planning Panel hearings were held more than a month ago. Keep Daylesford Beautiful’s understanding was that the Planning report would take 20 days and that this was extended by 10 days because of a request for further information from the Hepburn Shire.
Keep Daylesford Beautiful has been in further discussion with the Mayor, Cr Lesley Hewitt and the Interim CEO Bradley Thomas to make a submission to the State Government to recognise Daylesford as a “Distinctive Area and Landscape”. Recognition would mean greater controls over development for Daylesford.
Nearly $13,000 has been raised for the Keep Daylesford Beautiful Campaign.
