DNC Joke of the Week

The pastor was invited to a round of golf by a local businessman. Neither was a great golfer and the businessman was getting frustrated by poor shots and missing short putts. On the sixth green the frustration got to him and he started using language that the preacher didn’t really approve of.  “D**m, missed that shot!” he exclaimed. It kept getting worse. “D**M: Missed again!” he kept shouting.

Finally the pastor spoke up.  “Your language is offensive to me, and to God. Please be more careful in how you speak.”

It worked for a hole or two, until he missed a short putt and shouted out “D**M I missed again.”  The preacher warned him several times but the cussing continued.  Finally the pastor said to the man “You know, your language is so offensive to God it would not surprise me if you were struck down by lightning.”

The man was quiet.  Until the 17th hole when he missed a 6-foot putt. “D**M!!” He shouted, “I missed AGAIN!”

All of a sudden the sky darkened. Thunder rolled.  A bolt of lightning flew from the cloud. A cloud of dust rose up from where the men were standing. The dust clears, and the business man is standing alone.  Where the pastor had been standing there was only a pile of ashes on the ground.

A voice shouts from heaven, “D**M! I missed AGAIN!”
