Gordon Nightingale
There’s a spring in the air,
There’s a spring in your step,
A mind full of promise,
A mood full of pep.
Get out in the sunshine,
Jumping out of your skin.
With the change of the season
Let new life begin.
Jump on your bike
And peddle like hell.
Warn walkers you’re coming
By ringing the bell.
Feel the wind in the face,
Feel the power in the feet.
A friendly wave greeting
To people you meet.
Stroll in the morning
To the top of the rill.
Away to the north
Is a volcanic hill.
Immediately below
Cattle peacefully grazing.
The coming of springtime
Is truly amazing.
