The 26th Rotary Schools Music Night held on the the 19th October was another great local event showcasing the music talents of our local primary schools and Daylesford Secondary College. The Schools Music Night was the initiative of Ian Esmore, a former Rotarian who sadly passed away recently.
Andrew Littlejohn, the current Rotary President acknowledged and thanked Denis Toner from Daylesford Secondary College for organising the concert and those teachers and students from Hepburn Primary, Bullarto Primary, Newlyn Primary, Daylesford Primary, St Michael’s and Daylesford Secondary College.
The concert gives the students an opportunity to perform in public, developing confidence, their music and performance skills and teamwork. Back again after the hiatus of the COVID years, it’s probably that some of the young performers parents had also performed at the event some time in the last 26 years.
