The Rotary Club of Daylesford is inviting community members and visitors to the Rotary Art Show Daylesford District Community Bank Awards Night 2022 on Thursday, November 27 at the Daylesford Town Hall commencing at 6:00pm.
The Rotary Art Show is traditionally held over the Melbourne Cup weekend.
This evening is a significant and thoroughly enjoyable one for Daylesford residents and visitors – and refreshingly welcome after the limitations imposed during the past two years of COVID restrictions.
The Daylesford District Community Bank has made this evening possible with their generous $2500 donation
On arrival, you will be greeted by a generous choice of local wines, beer or soft drinks at the Bendigo Bank Bar. Grazing tables stocked with provisions provided by “Spade to Blade” will also be available. Then, as you move through into the Town Hall proper, your eyes will turn to the many pieces of art created by our region’s talented artists.
The Town Hall stage will come alive with music from the Silverheads! until its time for sponsors to present awards to prize winners.
Andrew Wyley from Blooms the Chemist’ has provided the first prize of $2000 for the winning artist. Matt Leyfield from Daylesford Meat Company has donated the $1000 third prize. An art prize for the best contribution from artists aged 15-25 years is a forerunner of things to come!
The crowd will also be entertained by an auction of eclectic items such as a David Bromley piece.
The Rotary Art Show is the major fund raiser for the Rotary Club of Daylesford. It s a great way to support projects that make a difference to the lives of members of our community. Come prepared to bid at the auction or to purchase a piece of art.
