The Daylesford Show Committee is yet another totally voluntary committee working hard to make the Daylesford experience more enjoyable for all of us. And they are busily working to get the show pavilions refreshed, certificates, ribbons and sashes arranged, and the parklands mown, trimmed and tidied. Thanks to the Hepburn Shire workers, stall holders and local groups for helping to get the Show organised .
Entries for the Daylesford and District Agricultural Show’s 149th annual show close on Monday, November 20, so anybody with good photos, art, craft, handiwork, flowers vegetables, cakes, jams, preserves, sausage rolls, snowballs, pasties or any of the other things that they can remember seeing on show in the past is urged to check the website at www.daylesfordshow.com and enter. Judging will take place on Friday, November 24th, so time your preparations for an early morning drop-off that morning.
We had to cancel the animal exhibits, dog show and equestrian events last year because a storm had made the grounds unsuitable the the animals will be back again this year. The carnival will set up starting on Monday. There will be lots to see and do and hundreds of exhibits on show.
So mark your calendars and plan to spend Saturday, November 25 at the Daylesford Show!
