The pop up COVID test site at Victoria Park has seen significant numbers of locals get tested, although there were long queues yesterday afternoon. So far there are no reports of additional cases resulting from the staff member at Cliffy’s Emporium who has tested positive.
The Springs Medical Centre reports working closely with Grampians Public Health and that no positive cases have been detected in either staff or patients who attended their Daylesford Clinic on Wednesday the 8th of September.
The Centre has now been cleaned for COVID and will be certified to reopen on Monday by the Public Health Unit.
The Springs has indicated that they will shift as many consultations as possible next week to the telephone or video. They will send text messages confirming these arrangements.
More information on COVID immunisations cancelled over the week end will come soon and it is anticipated they will be rescheduled over the next week.
It has been reported that staff who worked with the infected worker at Cliffy’s have also tested negative.
The Daylesford Community has responded cautiously to the COVID case. The town has been quiet over the weekend with many businesses choosing to stay shut. It is likely that caution will continue into next week as people wait to see whether there are further local cases.
