Winter in the Gardens a Huge Success
A partnership of the Friends of Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens, the Horticultural Society, the Historical Society, the Agricultural Society and U3A filled the weekend of August 3 and 4 August with informative talks and walks, a winter flower show and a wonderful dinner in the Town Hall to celebrate winter in our public gardens.

New Daylesford Operating Theatres Open for Limited Procedures
The newly developed surgical theatre at Daylesford Hospital opened its doors for the first time since the redevelopment started in May 2022. Last week, Daylesford Health had an endoscopy list of eight patients, with ophthalmology lists soon to follow after a staggered start.
Grants to Local Schools to Prepare for Bushfire Season
The state government has provided funding for schools across Victoria to ensure that they are well-prepared for the upcoming bushfire season by providing grants to slash vegetation growth and reduce the risk of fire. Six local schools will benefit from the funding.
Health Services Plan Proposes Split of CHRH
The Health Services Plan released this week includes a proposal to split Central Highlands Rural Health with Kyneton Hospital to be included in the Loddon Mallee network and for the remainder of CHRH including Daylesford Hospital to be included in the Grampians network. Amendments to proposed groupings would be based on further consultation with the sector.
