The Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens have entered a new chapter following the official opening of the upgraded Day Basin precinct on Tuesday 25 November. The heritage-listed gardens, more than 150 years old, remain one of the region’s most visited destinations for locals and tourists.

Wombat Lerderderg National Park Approved Securing Future of Key Landscapes
Victoria’s Parliament has passed legislation to establish the Wombat Lerderderg National Park. The new park brings together more than 44,000 hectares of forest, combining roughly 24,000 ha of Wombat State Forest with nearly 20,000 ha of the existing Lerderderg State Park.
