DNC Joke of the Week
A man comes home from work to find his three children still in their pyjamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers spread all around the front yard. The front door is open and there is no sign of the dog. Proceeding inside, he finds an even bigger mess. In the front room the TV is on loudly blaring out a cartoon channel and the family room is strewn with toys and various items of clothing.
In the kitchen dirty dishes fill the sink and the table is strewn with breakfast items. Breakfast cereal covers the table, dog food is spilled on the floor, a broken glass lies under the table and there is a small pile of sand on the floor near the back door.
He quickly heads upstairs, stepping over toys and more strewn clothes, looking for his wife. He fears she might be ill or that something serious had happened to her. He is met with a small trickle of water as it makes its way out of the bathroom door.
As he rushes into their bedroom he finds his wife still in her pyjamas, curled up in bed reading a book. She looks up at him, smiles, and asks how his day went. He looks at her bewildered, and says “Never mind my day, what happened here today?”
She again smiles and answers “Well, you know how every day when you come home from work and ask what in the world I do all day?”
“Yes”, he replies.
“Well today, I didn’t do it!”
[If you’ve got a better joke, (and doesn’t everyone??) send it to admin@dncentre.org.au and we’ll publish it. (Remember, this is a family publication! 😊). We’ll even include your name if you wish – or you can protect your anonymity!]
