The rebranded Hepburn Palais is reopening with its original name. The Palais hopes to bring back great live entertainment to the Hepburn Shire. This includes live music, comedy, dancing, theatre, kids’ events, and serving as a versatile community space for cultural, educational and artistic activities.
The focus is on the entertainment. Patrons are encouraged to dine in the region before coming to an event rather than having a restaurant at the venue. A variety of entertainment types are planned. Some shows will be fully seated, some will have limited seating & limited standing room, and some shows will be standing room (and dancing) only.
The key investment in Hepburn Palais is the installation of a world class sound and lighting system, along with a 50% increase in stage size. This is critical for securing top global artists for years to come.
The venue is also set to become a “cashless” venue, bringing the growing trend of cashless venues in capital cities to the region. The new owners say this decision was not made lightly, rather, it is primarily to protect staff safety. The people behind the rebirth of Hepburn Palais understand hospitality, the local region, and the broader entertainment industry. Some of their other brands include the recently refurbished Hotel Trentham, and the award-winning Arcobar in Moorabbin, a venue that has hosted over 1200 live events in the last 10 years. Simply put, they believe there is no better time to invest in Hepburn.
Hepburn Palais’s future success is intrinsically linked to the broader Hepburn Shire. The hope is that people will travel from far and wide, stay at the area’s wonderful accommodation options, eat at one of the region’s many restaurants, bistros, pubs, and cafes, and then enjoy a great show at Hepburn Palais. Whilst there are a couple of ARIA award winning artists set to play Hepburn Palais that can’t be announced just yet, the Wombat Post can confirm the following:
