Plants Please! Donations Needed for The Paddock Project

Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre is calling on the community to help bring The Paddock Project to life by donating seedlings, cuttings, and established plants.

The Paddock Project is a bold, community-led initiative transforming unused outdoor space into a thriving green hub – featuring fruit trees, veggie gardens, Indigenous edible plants, a chook run, worm farm and a permaculture-inspired food forest.

We’re seeking donations of:

  • Seedlings or cuttings of herbs, vegetables, fruit trees, or flowers
  • Indigenous edible or medicinal plants
  • Healthy established plants that could be part of a productive or biodiverse garden.

Whether you have a few spare seedlings or a thriving plant that needs a new home, your contribution will help support local food security, sustainability and community connection.

Donations can be dropped off at Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre during office hours of Mon-Thurs 9am-3pm

For large donations or special plant varieties, please contact us to arrange a time.

Let’s grow something great together!

DNC Joke of The Week

A taxi passenger tapped the driver on the shoulder to ask him a question.

The driver screamed, lost control of the car, nearly hit a bus, went up on the footpath, and stopped inches from a shop window.

For a second, everything was quiet in the cab. Then the driver said, “Look, mate, don’t ever do that again. You scared the living daylights out of me!”

The passenger apologized and said, “I didn’t realize that a little tap would scare you so much.”

The driver replied, “Sorry, it’s not really your fault. Today is my first day as a cab driver — I’ve been driving a funeral van for the last 25 years.”

[If you’ve got a better joke, (and doesn’t everyone??) send it to admin@dncentre.org.au and we’ll publish it. (Remember, this is a family publication! 😊).  We’ll even include your name if you wish – or you can protect your anonymity!]
