Stefan Nechwatal is a self-described refugee from Melbourne, who moved from Kew to Sailors Falls, where he has lived since 1987.
He was determined to pick up the pieces of his handcrafted furniture business in his new green environment.
Over the last 33 years, he has totally rebuilt the old abandoned homestead, restored the huge old barn into his Gallery/Workshop and along the way, he has enjoyed sharing his adventures with like minded do-it-yourselfers.
For more than 25 years, under the tutelage of three Editor/Proprietors of The Owner Builder magazine, he has enjoyed sharing his skills, inventions and experiences with the magazine’s hardcopy and online readers.
