Hepburn Shire is calling for expressions of interest from businesses to support outdoor commercial activities like hospitality, physical fitness, exhibitions and entertainment.
Businesses can put in expressions of interest to get funding for tables, chairs, heaters, umbrellas, shelves, signage, barriers and other items they need to set up out doors.
Council will use part of the funding to improve streetscapes and other infrastructure to support outdoor activities. This will include planter boxes, street furniture and bins.
Improved outdoor facilities provide options for COVID safe recreation, entertainment and hospitality as well as providing new and expanded opportunities for business in general.
Council will also waive obstruction fees for items like tables, chairs and goods for sale for business in 2022.
Funding for these initiatives has been provided by the Victorian State Government.
