More than 40 years in the making, The Quintessential Black Sorrows is a handpicked journey through the songs, stories and genre-defying sound that have made Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows one of Australia’s most enduring bands.
Celebrating their milestone double album release, the band are bringing The Quintessential Best Of Tour to audiences across the country.
Renowned for their high-energy live shows, raw rootsy rhythms and soulful fire, The Black Sorrows have spent decades at the forefront of Australian music. Led by the charismatic Joe Camilleri, the band continue to deliver performances packed with passion, musicianship and authenticity.
The current line-up features some of Australia’s finest musicians: Joe Camilleri on vocals, guitar, sax and harp; Claude Carranza on guitar and vocals; Mark Gray on bass and vocals; James Black on keyboards and vocals; and Tony Floyd on drums and vocals.
Support for this show is Nat Vazer, whose debut album “Is This Offensive and Loud?” was nominated for the 2020 Australian Music Prize. Nat Vazer was also nominated Best Breakthrough Act at the 2020 Music Victoria Awards, and is a brilliant addition to the night. Nat kicks things off at 7.30pm.
