Opening of the DNC DIGITAL HUB

The Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre is delighted to announce the launch of our Digital Hub – offering a state-of-the art Co-Working Space for the Daylesford community, businesses and individuals.

What is a Co-Working Space?

Co-working spaces offer an alternative to traditional offices or home offices, promoting interaction, creativity, and collaboration among other members and users.

With shared amenities, services, technology and tools, co-working spaces offer a cost-effective option for local and visiting professionals, digital nomads and small businesses.

Advantages of Co-working at DNC

Flexibility & Cost Effectiveness.  Freelancers, local and visiting professionals, digital nomads and small businesses can benefit from flexible memberships and no lock-in contracts.  Book a hot desk for an hour, a day or hire one of our meeting or conference rooms for a professional workshop.  One of the primary advantages of a co-working space is the cost savings from sharing things like workspaces, utilities, desks, internet, and printers.

Community Connections & Networking.  Based in the DNC and as a member of the Digital Hub you will be connected with the community and have the opportunity to meet and network with other professionals, locals and visitors.  Our friendly and dedicated reception team are here to assist you with any queries or concerns, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Great Facilities & Location.  Equipped with the latest technology and modern amenities, our co-working space provides you with everything you need to thrive.  High-speed internet, meeting rooms, printing services, and free coffee are just some of the facilities we offer.  Our location in the heart of Daylesford is easily accessible with on-street parking and is well-connected to the community and other services.

Enhanced Productivity.  Take a break from your home office and be more productive.  Being in a new environment and around others can foster creativity, inspiration and productivity and help manage routine.

DNC Joke of the Week

Arthur is 75 years old. He’s played golf every day since his retirement 15 years ago.

One day he arrives home looking downcast. “That’s it,” he tells his wife. “I’m giving up golf. My eyesight has become so bad that once I hit the ball I couldn’t see where it went.”

His wife sympathises and makes him a cup of tea. As they sit down she says, “Why don’t you take my brother with you and give it one more try?”

“That’s no good,” sighs Arthur, “your brother is 85. He can’t help.”

“He may be 85,” says the wife, “but his eyesight is perfect.”

So the next day Arthur heads off to the golf course with his brother-in-law. He tees up, takes a mighty swing and squints down the fairway. He turns to the brother-in-law and says, “Did you see the ball?”

“Of course I did!” answers the brother-in-law. “I have perfect eyesight.”

“Where did it go?” Arthur asks.

“I don’t remember.”

[If you’ve got a better joke, (and doesn’t everyone??) send it to  admin@dncentre.org.au  and we’ll publish it. (Remember, this is a family publication! ?).  We’ll even include your name if you wish – or you can protect your anonymity!]
