This week the Daylesford Bowling Club won the Midweek Division 1 Pennant Grand Final against Beaufort. The team and the club have been widely congratulated for their win.
Lawn bowls is one of the most popular sports in Australia. There are over 250,000 registered bowlers and probably double that number participate. Bowling is a great way for people of all ages to maintain their coordination and fitness.
The Daylesford Bowling Club was founded in 1899 and it must have one of the most spectacular views of any bowling club in Victoria from their bowling greens on the hill above Daylesford on Camp Street. The club has two bent grass greens and membership of about 80.
The club also provides facilities for meals and events.
