The Daylesford Arts Collective will have its 3rd show for 2022 from Saturday 27th until Sun 4th September at No.94 Vincent St. This time, the Art Show will stretch over a full week joining two weekends with members in the gallery on both weekends from 10am-4pm. Everyone is welcome.
The show will coincide with our fantastic Words in Winter (Aug 26th to 28th) and the last weekend of the amazing Borealis on the Lake (Sept 1st to 4th).
Given there is a Borealis bus service in front of No.94, we will light the space up at night to give visitors a sneak peak while waiting for the bus.
DAC is very grateful to the community for its support and enthusiasm for our initiative and would like to give something back in return. To say thank you, we will be looking to lead an initiative to have two publicly accessible defibrillators installed in our main street. The Daylesford Macedon Ranges Tourism Region has 1.7 million visitors each year and up to 17,000 of those folk can visit Daylesford-Hepburn over our long weekends. Through its Exhibitions, the Arts Collective will initiate a fund raising drive to source $4,500 for the purchase and installation. With the support of the Hepburn Council and Blooms Chemist (who will source the Units) we hope to have one installed on the Town Hall and across the street at the Chemist itself, each within the 3 minute window of survival time of any event in Vincent St. These will be registered with Ambulance Victoria so when a Triple Zero call is made they can direct any visitor to the nearest Unit while help is on its way.
DAC will place a call out to Clubs, Associations, Cooperatives, and interest groups to be part of this drive. Loose change goes a long way. If there are groups out there that may like to be apart of this please contact me. More details to follow.
