Certificate Courses

DNC are still collecting names of anyone interested in attending a CERT III Early Childhood or CERT III Individual Support course.   This is a great opportunity to gain qualifications and work locally!   Both courses have guaranteed local jobs on offer and in some cases, you can work whilst studying to complete the course.  We had lots of interest in the Early Childcare course recently, but not quite enough to guarantee a start date. Now is the time to register your interest for either course.

Send your expression of interest through to admin@dncentre.org.au specifying which course you would like to see kick off in Daylesford.

All-Abilities Group

On Wednesday, our All-Abilities Group take part in adult literacy, numeracy and life skills classes.  We currently have openings for anyone wishing to take part.  The classes are aimed at adults with special needs and are held weekly at DNC in Camp Street.  If you would like to know more about our Adult All-Abilities Group, feel free to call the Centre Manager at 5348 3569 for a discussion.

DNC Joke of the Week

Some helpful life sayings:

  • ‘Be yourself’ is the worst piece of advice you can give to some people.
  • HIM: How is it your single? HER: Surely you mean you’re?
  • Arguing with a fool serves only to prove that there are two.
  • Only dead fish go with the flow.
  • The only reason I’m fat is because a tiny body couldn’t hold this much personality.
  • Life is not a fairy tale. If you lose your shoe at midnight you’re drunk.
  • There are only two rules in life. No 1: Never ever give out all the information.
  • You never realize how weird you are until you have a kid who acts just like you.
  • Chocolate doesn’t ask silly questions. Chocolate understands.
  • I’ve learned so much from my mistakes I’m thinking of making a few more.

[If you’ve got a better joke, (and doesn’t everyone??) send it to  admin@dncentre.org.au  and we’ll publish it. (Remember, this is a family publication! ?).  We’ll even include your name if you wish – or you can protect your anonymity!]
